Hannam Vale is tucked away between Port Macquarie and Taree on the New South Wales Holiday Coast, Australia.
It is a small coastal valley of green pastures nestled between the peaks of Middle Brother and South Brother mountains.
Ridges of thick forest sweep down from the Comboyne Range making a natural retreat where the black and white dairy cows wander slowly across the road at milking time.
The valley is a world of tranquility hidden between the coastal resort of Port Macquarie to the north and the rural centre of Taree to the south on the Mid North Coast of NSW Australia.
This beautiful place has retained its quiet nature since 1770 when Captain Cook sailed up the coast and discovered three free-standing mountains. They looked so alike he called them the Three Brothers.
You enter Hannam Vale between Middle Brother and South Brother. The winding road runs the length of the valley, past Penlan Cottage, Benbellen Country Retreat on Cherry Tree Lane, then on to Waitui Falls and Big Nellie in the Coorabakah State Forest.
