Guest Accommodation Separated by a substantial private library are the two upstairs guest bedrooms featuring hand made furniture and fittings by a local craftsman and full en-suite bathrooms. The Balcony Room opens onto a totally private balcony with spectacular views of the farm and the nearby hills. The Lotus Room, with French doors opening to the main veranda, overlooks a natural pond strewn with Lotus flowers in summer. The guest bedrooms have clean and modern full en-suite bathrooms with eco-friendly composting toilets (No water system). Eco Tourism note Having composting toilets saves around 50% of "normal" water usage and ensures local streams are free of efluent. The property itself has a carefully planned program of restoration and protection of riparian zones of the many streams and dams on the farm. Guest Areas The spacious open plan living areas include a large indoor/outdoor entertainment area with a TV annex and a recessed lounge equipped with a wood burning fire. The dining table is set next to French doors which open onto the outdoor entertainment area. You are surrounded by extensive views of the valley including "South Brother", a mountain identified by James Cook in 1770 as one of the famous "Three Brothers" of the Laurieton/Johns River/Moorland area. In the "cook's kitchen" you might be taught new ways of poaching the perfect egg or be served delicious, mouth watering home cooked evening meals with an emphasis on healthy nutritious food.
